The Chaos Dimension is a parallel dimension to our own, absolutely brimming with a kind of energy we call Chaos.
Chaos lives up to its name. Whenever it shows up, things are bound to get wild.
In theory, Chaos just acts on the thoughts and feelings of the people around it.
But there aren't always people around to influence it, meaning it just gets all the background radiation of what people are thinking and feeling miles away, or what someone was thinking or feeling the last time someone was in the area.
Since it doesn't always have a proper source of input, and even the input it does get can be pretty unpredictable, the things Chaos does can seem a bit random.
You know, like sending a big gem into another dimension to launch a bunch of islands into the sky.
Yep! The Master Emerald, which is the big rock that sits at Angel Island and gives the whole archipelago the power to keep floating, just sort of popped into existence one day.
My personal theory is that the Chaos Dimension was just so full of Chaos energy that it ripped open at a weak point, and Chaos started pouring through.
The hole it made took the form of the Master Emerald, and that's how Mobius as we know it came to be.
That's all just speculation, though.
Nobody really knows why the Chaos Dimension seems to have an infinite supply of energy flowing through it all the time.
Maybe there's something at the center of that big white void that's making all of it?
Nobody's really gone far enough in to find out. Wouldn't wanna get stranded, after all!
That sounds like something I ought to do someday, actually. I could be the first person to figure out where all this Chaos is coming from!
It's kind of wild to think that the Chaos Dimension is even a place we can go.
Imagine if there was a whole dimension that's just an infinite expanse of electricity, but then when you entered the electricity formed a bunch of solid rocks underneath your feet.
People have even survived there for weeks, even months.
There was even one case where a regular animal wandered into the Chaos Dimension, and by the time he came out he'd turned into a Mobian!
